The annual Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto takes place on Sunday September 25th 2011, with all proceeds generated from the walk benefitting the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT). Last year participants raised over $420,000 that was used to support ACT’s community programs and services. This year our goal is $500,000, which will help ACT continue to run all of its current programs as well as develop new ways to meet the needs of the various communities it serves.

Founded in 1983, ACT provides information and support to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, while also working to prevent HIV transmission through outreach and education. ACT delivers a wide range of programs that promote health and well being, from practical support services to targeted education campaigns in communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
